A Recent Experiment
Guiding Stars Licensing Company
Guiding Stars had us build a custom Wordpress site that could serve both as their content management system and blogging platform. Their new site takes advantage of the multitude of plugins available for Wordpress, as well as some custom ones we created specifically for them.

- Developed Design for Page Elements, used Standards based code, Wordpress CMS integration, custom Wordpress plugin and theme development, Server Migration, Hosting, Directed and Managed Project, Training
Some of our concoctions
Norm's Eateries: Norm's Bar and Grill, Norm's East End Grill, Downtown Lounge
After 15 years of successfully running three restaurants purely by word-of-mouth, Norm chose shines and jecker to produce simple sites with menu and location information for each of his three restaurants. We built similar sites for each, but still allow each to have their own unique look and feel. Norm's Eateries provides a quick portal for getting info on each restaurant.
Bow Street Market
Bow Street prides itself on providing its customers with quality local products so we were especially thrilled they chose us to create their site.
We built them a custom Wordpress site that allows them to better reach their loyal customers, develop new customer relationships, and manage their web site in-house by a variety of staff with varying computer skill levels.
Our work for them continues as they have contracted us to develop another web site for their liquor distributing system—Bow Street Distributing, with a custom CMS for pricing information, and online ordering.
Local Sprouts Cooperative
Local Sprouts wanted a custom Wordpress site that would feature their delicious food, catering services, and unique business model. Their new site also allows for the community to join, stay connected, and lend support.
Thinking Matters at the University of Southern Maine
Having worked on its original conception, we were keen to help the University of Southern Maine’s Thinking Matters symposium manage and maintain their online abstract application and website.
